What is google adsense

What is Google AdSense?
Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google. To understand this, think of a company like Reliance. Reliance offers various services like Reliance Trends and Reliance Digital—each serving a different purpose.
Similarly, Google offers many services. For advertising, they have two main platforms: Google Ads and Google AdSense. It is important to know that they are different.
How Google AdSense Works
Google AdSense displays advertisements on your Website or YouTube Channel. You might have noticed ads appearing on the side of a website you visit, or “Skip Ad” banners appearing while watching a YouTube video. Google manages these ads entirely.
The AdSense ecosystem works through two main groups:
Advertisers
Creators
The Advertiser
Advertisers are businesses or companies. For example, imagine Samsung is launching a new mobile phone. To promote it, they have two options: Offline Marketing (billboards, posters) or Online Marketing (ads on websites and YouTube).
Samsung won’t contact you directly to show their ads. Instead, they go to Google and pay them to run their advertisements.
The Creator (You)
Suppose Google charges Samsung ₹100 to show an ad. Google will then run that Samsung ad on your Website or YouTube video. Because you provided the platform for the ad, Google shares the revenue with you.
Typically, Google gives ₹55 to you (the Creator) and keeps ₹45 as their service fee.
Why do you need an AdSense Account?
A Google AdSense account acts like an Online Bank. The money you earn from running ads is first collected in your AdSense account.
However, you cannot spend the money directly from AdSense. To use your earnings, you must transfer the balance from your AdSense account to your personal Bank account.
Requirements for AdSense:
You must own a Website or a YouTube Channel.
You must follow Google AdSense policies and rules.
Once your platform is approved and the account is created, your earning journey begins!
